Social media channels are gaining so much popularity in the last few years and people trust these more than anything else. What is a typical day like for a social media analyst?


The first thing that most of the analysts do each morning is check all the social media channels to check whether there is any mention of their company or brand. If there is any mention, then they will follow up immediately because conversations on social media require immediate response. In case there is a need to reach out to any other department of the company, then they will do so because this job requires timeliness.

Once the analysts are done with the initial conversations, they start brainstorming or planning strategy and future campaigns or meet department heads to ensure the strategy developed is able to work out. A good amount of their day goes on reading trend reports and business articles to update themselves with the latest marketing techniques and technologies.

To list out what they have done, there is reporting like any other marketing campaign, where the analysts will list out statistics like follows, fans, comments, traffic and clicks. Many people think that their job is limited posting tweets and posts, but it is not the case as they do much more than this.
